Campbell Hall is the oldest building in the State System of
Higher Education Inventory.
Restoration / Renovation included seismic Zone 3 upgrades.
These upgrades employed the latest base isolation technology to provide an up-to-date foundation system.
The scope of work
also included tuck pointing of the brick exterior, repair of existing wood
windows, and bringing the building into ADA and UBC compliance. The
new foundation and excavation of the basement added another 7,000 SF of
studio space to usable square footage. Diaphraming of the new roof
structure also added 7,000 SF of classroom space greatly increasing
the efficiency of the facility.
